Ghost in the Machine is a new duo of musicians comprising Ralph Ward and Rob Aston, who play a combination of piano, synths, guitars and drums to a superb level of musicianship. Rob is a supremely competent drummer and guitarist, and has worked with a number of bands in a wide variety of styles at gigs around the country. Ralph has spent several years as a pro musician, a talented piano and guitar player with particular ability and experience in the hi tech field, using synths and samples to produce great arrangements that give Ghost in the Machine the sound of a full band complete with string section, horns, the works. Ralph toured for many years as a solo artist, but has now teamed up with Rob to provide a brilliant set of live music, featuring all the best piano/organ/synth driven pop music of the past four decades, from the Commodores to Keane, Supertramp to Robbie Williams, with bands like Queen, REM, the Mavericks, Toploader and Madness all thrown in for good measure.
